It's the time of year, that I hate to admit, I always dread. Everything around me, the onslaught of commercialism, my inbox constantly filled with cyber this, black that, sales and deals and messages to shop, shop, shop. It goes against everything I feel at this time of year. The desire to be quiet, introspective and to spend time with people I love, cook, bake, make and enjoy the stillness that winter brings.
I made a decision a few years ago, to step back from the madness. I used to overcommit to shows and sales and do it all. Sure my bank account would swell but I would miss out on the things that are supposed to make the holidays, well, holidays.
There is one show that I always like to participate in. Not only because it is hosted by one of my favorite people, the opening holdiay party that goes with the show is one that truly celebrates the fun, inclusive, gracious, outrageous, food filled tables, laughter and good will that the potter community is so warmly known for, the annual fourth & clay Holiday show!
This year's theme is "Winter White." The show opens on December 5th and the famous fourth & clay holiday gala is Thursday December 12th.
We hope you will join us in the fun!
